Midges – Vol 4

DVD 95
Running Time: 95 mins

It is only in the last 30 years that the importance of midges as food for river and lake trout and grayling has become fully appreciated. In this volume Malcolm Greenhaigh demonstrates the midge life cycle of larva, pupa (buzzer) and adult, and then ties a series of flies that match these stages. Some of the patterns have a long pedigree, but one was barely a year old when Malcolm tied it here in this programme and it has taken the stillwater trout scene by storm! Malcolm also describes the all important presentation of these flies to the fish.
