Edward Martin has had a lifelong love of gun dogs and shooting, training his first dog on the farm as a teenager. He has successfuly competed in trials for many years with a number of field trial champions to his name. In 1993, training ‘Shooting Times’ dog monty for a series of articles in the magazine, highlighted Edwards approach to training and a huge following ensued.
Adapting the training to the individual temperament of the dog shows how all dogs can be trained to their individual highest standards. In the final programme we continue the training through introduction to live game correction and refresher training, how to adapt training for use in the beating line, picking up and as a working shooting dog. Finally we join Edward at a walk-up day’s shooting still conntinuing the training to maintauin his highest standards.
